This role was created for someone who is a natural problem solver, who loves to bring data to the forefront to help us refine our products and strategies in the rapidly evolving sports betting market. You will be a key contributor in putting analytics at the heart of every action we take in our business, by setting up the tools, reporting, and processes required to enable informed decision-making.

As Senior Business Analyst, you will gain exposure to a wide cross-section of our business. You will collaborate with product owners, subject matter experts, end-users, and technical team members in Product, Commercial, Marketing, and SEO. 

While you are highly resourceful with solid technical skills, you will have the backing of an experienced and motivated team to help you get the job done. We are always looking for ways to improve, and this role will be key in focusing our efforts and getting innovative projects past the finish line. 

What You'll Do
  • Aggregate and analyze data from multiple sources to answer and produce actions for Product and Strategic questions using; SQL and R/Python.
  • Challenge current Sports KPI framework to strengthen alignment with organization objectives.
  • Be the first point of contact for Sports KPI tracking; overhauling existing reporting and improving communication.
  • Manage tight deadlines and iterate analyses to answer unstructured business questions, deliver actionable learnings, and make strategic recommendations.
  • Analyze diverse datasets to understand product and market landscapes with a view to prioritize focus with the biggest opportunities.
  • Create centrally housed training content and deliver training workshops for the wider Sports community to encourage use of the full suite of data and intelligence tools.
  • Provide market sizing, market segmentation, channel analysis and trend analysis across various industries and geographical regions.
  • Convert conclusions from internal studies and external sources into strategic recommendations with accompanying business case and modeling.
  • Support in shaping the analytics future state of the Sports product, vision, and outcomes. Identify new tools and solutions to enable improved insight.
  • Provide guidance and support to more junior analysts in the team.
What You'll Bring
  • You’re a self-starter who is comfortable working with cross-discipline teams located across multiple offices.
  • You prioritize your effort based on impact and can own a project from start to finish.
  • Interest in Sports and/or sports betting industry
  • Knowledge of SEO and online affiliate marketing
  • Strong knowledge of SQL. Be the first point of contact for SQL reporting queries.
  • Experience in taking unstructured data and modeling it into clean datasets available for everyone in the business to use.
  • Able to see the 'big picture,' evaluate the business impact of issues and prioritize various requests.
  • Able to support a business strategy with data and to inform decision based on actual results (test, analysis, pre-post, benchmarking etc.) vs gut-feeling.
  • Able to present recommendations to Product Managers, senior stakeholders and on occasion to the wider business.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel with experience using BI tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Looker etc
