We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst for a 12-month contract position, with possible extensions in Calgary, Alberta. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
Hybrid schedule, at least 4 days in the office. 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week. It is NOT a remote role. Role DescriptionOur client is looking to hire a business-focused Business Analyst to support an email retention policy rollout project. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders from across the organization to gather requirements, design solutions, and help ensure the successful transition to the new business process. This opportunity will appeal to an individual who enjoys working independently and in a team environment, and who demonstrates effective critical thinking, problem-solving and facilitation skills, and is adaptable and able to effectively complete deliverables in a timely fashion. This Business Analyst will utilize their excellent written and oral communication skills to support this change to the organization. Responsibilities
- Work with end users and stakeholders to design solutions to business problems related to process changes.
- Be a liaison between the project teams, technology teams, and support teams.
- Collaborate with project team members to progress the project forward as per the project plan and scope outline.
- Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the project artifacts.
- Support OCM team with change readiness activities, as required.
Required Skills and Experience
- At least 5 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar capacity.
- Solid skills with MS technologies, Visio, and excel.
- Experience working in larger complex organizations would be considered an asset.
- Organization and relationship building skills.
- Highly effective communicator
- Displays emotional intelligence and demonstrates self-awareness and remains calm under pressure.
