Note: This role is only open to candidates with 2+ years of experience in a manager role in a high volume retail/grocery environment.
This includes the implementation of company standards, protection of company assets, attention to maintaining a local competitive position, and the development and training of staff. The incumbent supports the rest of store management team and fosters positive customer relationships.

*Deal with customer complaints and requests quickly and effectively
* Manage the General Merchandise Department to maximize sales and grow profits*
* Develop departmental business plans in order to meet or exceed sales and gross profit goals ( The Book –macro gap analysis)
* Ensure operating goals are met by monitoring performance, following merchandising practices, supporting promotions, maintaining operational standards and controls. Provide regular input to Sales Development Team on sales trends and new wanted items.
* Oversee the correct cost landing of all invoices and adjust retail prices to maintain gross profit margins
*Ensure that the daily operating disciplines, as described in the General Merchandise Manual (Retail Basics) are consistently met.*
* Maintain equipment and fixtures as directed by the manufacturer and Facility Maintenance.
* Protect company assets: maintain and control inventories
* Participate as a key member of the store team, providing leadership to store team and support to the Store Manager
* A minimum of two years of experience in a high-volume grocery/retail environment
* Record of bottom line and sales results in previous roles.
* Computer knowledge of Excel and Outlook.
* Strong knowledge of grocery operating principles.
* Proven organizational, planning and prioritizing skills
* Highly motivated and adventurous with an appreciation for small town life in a culturally diverse setting considered an asset
