We’re hiring an Account Director

Anamorphiq helps brands build better business with digital-first public relations, marketing and creative strategy. Founded in 2019, we are a full-service, fast-growing, independent PR agency. We’re creative, collaborative and innovative, and we’re searching for a talented Account Director to lead some of our most exciting client accounts.

If you have 7+ years of strategic communications and PR experience, proven team leadership and project management skills, a sense of curiosity and an entrepreneurial spirit, then Anamorphiq may be the place for you.

The Account Director is responsible for:

  • Leading and managing communications professionals.
  • Mentoring, guiding and managing employee performance, and helping to foster our culture of learning, growth and creativity. 
  • Managing key account relationships as primary point of contact for clients.
  • Achieving exceptional outcomes and ensuring consistency of service for clients. This includes delivering strategic communications counsel, generating creative ideas and executing on plans and recommendations.
  • Managing account budgets and contributing to profitability.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with media and sector influencers.
  • Supporting agency growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.

Your skills and experience:

  • Minimum 7 years in PR and strategic communications in an agency environment.
  • Proven track record of building and executing effective communications strategies.
  • Proven project management capabilities within a complex or fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Experience working across earned, paid, owned and shared media channels.
  • Experience operating in an integrated agency model.
  • Able to work independently and drive projects forward.
  • Experience leading and mentoring teams - developing star performers and overseeing performance.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with an understanding of how to grow accounts and secure new business.
  • Contacts with key Canadian media and influencers.
  • Proven track record of successfully implemented communications and PR campaigns for a range of clients.
  • Polished presentation skills.
  • Experience with developing new business.
  • Driven, ambitious and willing to contribute to the business.

Your Day-to-Day activities:

  • Coordinating and leading client meetings.
  • Leading, managing and coordinating PR and marketing campaigns from creative brief to implementation and delivery to reporting.
  • Writing and producing articles, press releases and other long-form content.
  • Leading/developing media lists and/or pitching media.
  • Proofreading and editing client and team member content – ensuring a high level of accuracy and alignment with subject matter.
  • Managing account budgets and resources.
  • Delegating and managing team activities.
  • Analysing campaign outcomes, interpreting data, developing and presenting reports.
  • Supporting new business development, and growing current client accounts.
  • Nurturing talent.
  • Developing and nurturing a network of key contacts.

This is a hybrid position with in-office and remote schedules to be worked out with the select candidate. A successful candidate should expect to work 2-3 days per week at our office located in the Toronto Beach. Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
