Oracle BI Developer
On behalf of our client, Procom is currently seeking an Oracle Developer for a nine (9) month engagement based in Burnaby, British Columbia. This client is pleased to offer a remote work model for this role.

Oracle BI Developer Job Details
PROMIS is the BC provincial registry and clinical information system for chronic kidney disease, solid organ transplant patients, and the new provincial post-covid interdisciplinary clinical care network.
The application is undergoing a multi-year modernization project, redeveloping the application in Oracle ADF (legacy version uses Oracle Forms).
A number of Oracle Reports in the legacy application which must be either revised to account for an updated data model OR have logic extracted to enable redevelopment in Oracle BI Reports. T
The ideal consultant will be able to extract logic and redevelop in Oracle BI.
Development in support of these objectives may require some or all of the following services:
Extracting current business logic implementation from existing Oracle Reports.
Rebuilding Oracle Reports in Oracle BI Publisher.
Implementation of Business logic using SQL & PL/SQL within PROMIS Database
Establish design, development guidelines and standards
Conformance to Oracle Database Best Practices / Standards
Understand business needs for Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery
Collaborate with other PROMIS team members to carry out project requirements and deliverables
Adhere to and provide input for improvement of existing Software Development Life Cycles processes / methodologies & development standards for PROMIS and all other BC Renal / BC Transplant IT undertakings
Ensure that all software aspects of system stability and performance, security and privacy, software monitoring, defect identification and remediation are current and active
Produce technical deliverables like design/technical specifications, code and unit-test

Oracle BI Developer Mandatory Skills
Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL for implementing business logic within PROMIS Database.
Ability to establish design and development guidelines and standards.
Familiarity with Oracle Database Best Practices and Standards.
Understanding of Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery concepts in relation to business needs.
Adherence to existing Software Development Life Cycle processes and methodologies, and contribution to their improvement for PROMIS and other company IT projects.
Ability to ensure system stability, performance, security, privacy, software monitoring, defect identification, and remediation in software aspects.
Capability to produce technical deliverables, such as design/technical specifications, code, and unit tests.

Oracle BI Developer Nice-To-Have Skills
Previous experience with the PROMIS application/team/data model.
Respondents having previous experience in the health sector will receive special consideration.
All product design, code and associated documentation will be the intellectual property of the client.

Oracle BI Developer Assignment Length
Nine (9) month contract with the potential for two (2) extensions of three (3) months each.
