Must be able to communicate in French or bilingual is even better (French and English)

They are seeking a small IT team a desktop technician that can also do basic support - help desk and basic admin – user account creation. The person must have previous end-user experience, no junior candidates.

The person must have a car (with a valid driver's license) as it’s a very large site factory that receives iron minerals by boat and transforms them into steel beams.

They will be paying for the kilometers when the person takes their car to go from one building to the other.
They will also supply all the protection gear including the boots if ever need to go into the factory but for the first few weeks/months would only be in the administrative buildings.

*Sommaire des responsabilités*
* Assurer la réception, le traitement et le suivi de toutes les requêtes de support effectuées au centre d’assistance informatique.
* Assurer, à tour de rôle, la réception, le traitement et le suivi des requêtes de support urgentes en dehors des heures ouvrables effectuées au centre d’assistance informatique.
* Gérer les comptes usagers de tous les employés d’AMM dans l’Active Directory.
* Effectuer la gestion des sauvegardes de tous les systèmes de bureautique (N1), de l’automatisation (N2) et de la production (N3).

*Tâches quotidiennes et hebdomadaires*
* Assister tous les utilisateurs d’AMM comme support de première ligne pour toutes demandes conséquentes à des problèmes matériels, systèmes d’exploitations, configurations matérielles – logicielles et applicatives, d’installation ou de réaménagement de matériels et de réseautique, suite à des mouvements de personnel (Add, move and change).
* Analyser les requêtes pour leur donner un ordre de priorité.
* Gérer, valider et contrôler les sauvegardes journalières des données d’AMM. Voir à ce que les données sauvegardées sur bandes magnétiques soient remisées en voûte sur une base journalière.
* Créer, modifier ou supprimer les comptes des usagers.
* Offrir un support 7jours/24heures sur rotation.
* Responsabilités locales, et interactions avec les Shared Services.
* Expérimenter les solutions, les stratégies d’implantation et participe activement aux projets et à l’analyse des risques et impacts au niveau des usagers.
* Assurer que les requêtes traitées par le groupe TI suivre les normes ITIL et/ou SOx.

*Tâches mensuelles et annuelles*

* Mise à jour des comptes usagers de l’Active Directory.
* Maintien de l’inventaire des équipements.
* Planification de la cédule de garde.

Requirements:

Summary of Responsibilities (Purpose of the Role):

- Ensure the receipt, processing, and follow-up of all support requests made to the IT helpdesk.
- Ensure, in rotation, the receipt, processing, and follow-up of urgent support requests outside working hours made to the IT helpdesk.
- Manage user accounts for all AMM employees in Active Directory.
- Manage backups of all office systems (N1), automation (N2), and production (N3).

Daily and Weekly Tasks:

- Assist all AMM users as first-line support for all requests related to hardware problems, operating systems, hardware-software and application configurations, installation or rearrangement of hardware and networking, following personnel movements (Add, move, and change).
- Analyze requests to prioritize them.
- Manage, validate, and control daily backups of AMM data. Ensure that data backed up on magnetic tapes are stored in a vault daily.
- Create, modify, or delete user accounts.
- Offer support 24/7 on a rotating basis.
- Handle local responsibilities and interact with Shared Services.
- Experiment with solutions, and implementation strategies, and actively participate in projects and risk-impact analysis for users.
- Ensure that requests processed by the IT group comply with ITIL and/or SOx standards.

Monthly and Annual Tasks:

- Update user accounts in Active Directory.
- Maintain inventory of equipment.
- Plan the on-call schedule.
