Its expertise is based on three pillars of activity: 1. Management of corporate and association events and incentive trips for the Canadian market. 2. Design and management of incentive trips, seminars, learning expeditions and professional missions across Canada, adapted to the needs of European clients. 3. The need to give meaning to our actions and the desire to get involved to make a difference The desire to integrate sustainable development issues into our daily activities and to adopt specific eco-responsible actions for the exemplary management of all our events.Job Duties and Responsibilities:Events Operations: • Working in assistance to the General Manager, Operations, Program Managers and Sales Managers to ensure the smooth and flawless execution of programs; • Supporting Program Managers to successfully operate and manage programs (incentives, meetings and other special events) as assigned by his/her supervisor – programs will include, but are not limited to the management of: transportation, production, (entertainment, A/V, staging), off-site venues, tours & activities, food and beverage (onsite, off-site and restaurants), gifts & amenities;• Helping to manage the contract/on-site staff database, the processing of resumes and interviews, etc.;• Maintaining hotel, venue and other product knowledge; • Assisting with supervision of large programs on-site; • Handling other tasks as required by you supervisor.Proposal and Product Development - Creative Services, in a supporting role:• Work closely with the JPdL West team, the Director of Sales and Sales Manager(s) in other offices to assist the Sales Department in achieving its goals and objectives • Support and develop creative, profitable and cost-effective, compelling and best in class proposals for clients within the required deadlines • Act as a subject matter expert on destinations and site options • Maintain and add to database of product (service offerings) information and keep all said product databases up to date with content and current pricing • Assist in maintaining and growing relationships with key industry partners, including but not limited to: DMOs/CVBs, local hotel sales representatives, Convention Centers, vendors and other industry colleagues in Western Canada (British Columbia and Alberta) Profile:• Minimum 3 years of coordinating/operating business events• Degree or accreditation in Hospitality/Event Management or related field an asset (CMP, DMCP, DES)• Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and able to work independently• Knowledge of Canadian venues and attractions, specifically locations in Alberta and British Colombia• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Suite (SharePoint, Excel, Word, Outlook) • Knowledge of FileMaker an asset• Research and analytical skills• Negotiation, communication, writing, and organization skills.• Outstanding attention to detail • A passion for continuous education on new product offerings including participation in supplier events and association networks• Proven success in delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment• Ability to work collaboratively within a team • Bilingualism (English/French) an asset.Contact: If you feel ready to join the JPdL team, we would love to meet you Send us your curriculum vitaeand a cover letter to rh.hr@jpdl.com.
