This firm has an excellent culture and a lot of career development opportunities.Recognized in the 2023 Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory Rankings.Office conveniently located in Toronto’s Financial District Duties and Responsibilities:- Develop human resources policies and procedures;- Manage employee relations and maintain confidential staff records;- Create and maintain company policy manuals while ensuring consistency of practices;- Remains up to date on trends and human resource issues;- Provides advice and guidance to management on human resource issues;- Evaluate and administer benefit programs;- Oversee the recruitment process from sourcing to onboarding;- Coordinate vendor relationships and negotiate contracts;- Facilitate company change initiatives;- Ensure compliance with Ontario Employment Standards Acts, rules and regulations, other application legislation;- Develop, manage, and maintain Occupational Health & Safety programs and Emergency Response Plans;- Organise and coordinate special events;- Perform year end payroll reconciliations; and- Additional duties as needed. Requirements:- 3+ years of Human Resource Generalist experience in a law firm;- Strong technical abilities and proficiency with MS Office;- Strong leadership, time management, and problem-solving abilities; and- Excellent communication skills.
