Job Purpose:
The Application Administrator maintains the health of enterprise applications within Client. This candidate will work in an agile environment collaborating between all streams within the Information Technology team ensuring the Operations group is equipped to fully support once in Production. Ongoing, this candidate will regularly review and optimize the interdependencies between applications, responsible for application deployments and ensuring the necessary application and organizational governance controls are effective.
Key Responsibilities:
- Day-to-Day Administration and support of Microsoft Dynamics D365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) including project implementation, and optimization related to Information Technology (IT) operations, business processes, security, and data integrity
- Identifying process optimization opportunities within D365 F&O and related application integrations
- Lead the management of Microsoft Dynamics Lifecycle Services to ensure effective implementations and updates to D365
- Administration and support escalation for applications which reside with Microsoft Azure
- Collaborate and support as needed with the Application, BI, Retail and Commercial Development teams
- Perform database migrations and administration of SQL instances
- Support audit compliance reviews and remediation efforts for enterprise applications in partnership with IT SOX and IT Audit Teams
- Support production code release process for enterprise applications as required
- Provide administration to enterprise applications and related integrations such as: Azure, Power Platform, Finance, Shop Floor Control and Supply Chain Systems
- Lead incident management actives related critical outages to enterprise applications and integrations. Including notifications, remediation, and root cause analysis
- Work with vendors, partners, and other technical resources to resolve system challenges
- Install hotfixes and cumulative updates, as required
- Perform preventative/proactive application and systems maintenance
- Monitors and tunes the performance of the enterprise infrastructure to identify and correct bottlenecks in the system, while working with development teams on optimizations and best practices
- Works closely with Application Support analysts to develop technical skills, knowledge and provide information updates to upcoming changes and outages
- Develop deployment and production monitoring processes
- Understand and enforce internal control policies
Experience, Education and Designations:
- A post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 3+ Years experience in configuration, support, customization and integration and management of Microsoft Dynamics AX or D365 F&O
- 3+ Years of experience with administering Microsoft SQL Server (Version 2008-Present) and Microsoft Windows Server (Version 2012-Present)
- 3+ Years of experience with enterprise release management and technical operations
- Strong technical skills in Microsoft technologies such as SQL Server, Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate), and Azure services.
- Experience using Azure DevOps for gathering and documenting of business processes and requirements for the system with key business users
- Industry certifications preferred such as: Microsoft certifications in Dynamics 365 F&O (e.g., MB-300, MB-500, MB-900, MB -700) preferred.
