Job Description

The House of Commons Parliamentary Precinct Operations is currently looking to staff the Print and Mail Production Coordinator position.

The Print and Mail Production Coordinator supports the Client Services and Planning team in the provision of effective and seamless printing and mailing services. As the interface between clients, production staff and external sources this role is responsible for providing consultation, advice and interpretation of guidelines and bylaws to Members of Parliament and their staff, House Officers and Administration staff, and the Library of Parliament in all aspects of their design, printing and mailing requirements. Assists in the delivery of cost estimating and planning services, schedules in-house production for a variety of requests, and conducts pre-flight checks of electronic files.

Qualifications

Education :

  • Certification from a recognized graphic communications and technical institute in the field of production control, project management and planning OR an acceptable combination of education, training and relevant experience.

Experiences :

  • A minimum of two (2) years experience in a client service-related field;
  • Experience and/or knowledge in graphic design;
  • Experience in effectively and accurately advising clients on technical issues and providing interpretations pertaining to printing and mailing services;
  • Experience in scheduling, monitoring, coordinating and prioritizing work.

Assets :

  • Experience with publishing software such as Adobe InDesign, Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Publisher;
  • Experience in producing reports and presentations;
  • Experience working with Canada Post Corporation Service Standards.
