The Position:

The HR Business Partner will play a critical role in aligning HR strategies with business objectives, ensuring compliance with USA employment laws and benefits, and managing global employment practices. This role requires a deep understanding of both domestic and international HR policies and practices. The role shall be involved in overseeing HR programs and suggesting improvements and optimization.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic HR Partnership: Collaborate with Lumine HR team to develop and deploy HR strategies that support business goals.
  • USA Employment Law Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Provide guidance on complex employment law issues.
  • Benefits Administration: Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits. Ensure compliance with USA benefits regulations and federal and state legislations.
  • Global Employment Practices: Support the development of HR policies and practices for international employees. Provide guidance on global employment laws and regulations, as well as annual employment contract and policy reviews.
  • Talent Management: Support talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies. Partner with managers to identify and develop high-potential employees.
  • Employee Experience: Assist in the planning, coordinating, and execution of corporate events and activities that foster employee engagement, promote team building, and enhance the overall employee experience.
  • Special Projects: including but not limited to, lead implementations, review programs for continuous improvements, analyze data.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a business partner role or an HR Generalist role.
  • Certifications: PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.


Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of USA employment laws and regulations.
  • Experience with global employment practices and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and other HR software. Workday experience an asset.
