The Technology Services Group (TSG) is a crucial internal function dedicated to maintaining a consistent technology infrastructure and a standard set of tools and applications across our Asset Management business.
Position Summary: The Senior Project Manager, reporting to the Director of Technology Services, will oversee project delivery activities for business groups to enhance and expand services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define project scope and objectives in collaboration with senior management, ensuring deliverables meet business expectations.
- Establish and maintain appropriate governance and oversight for all projects.
- Develop detailed work plans that identify and sequence activities for successful project completion; manage and refine project execution.
- Determine necessary resources (time, budget, equipment) for project completion.
- Monitor and approve budgeted project expenditures, ensuring all financial records are current.
- Track and report cash flow projections and variances to senior management regularly (monthly/bimonthly).
- Review and provide feedback on vendor commercials to support project procurement.
- Manage all project funds in accordance with established accounting policies and procedures.
- Ensure project deliverables meet time, budget, and quality requirements.
- Prepare, track, and provide updates on action, issue, and risk logs.
- Drive accountability with cross-functional stakeholders in both Business and Technology.
- Establish communication schedules to update stakeholders on project progress.
- Provide superior client experiences and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders.
- Ensure IT Risk and Compliance due diligence is applied where applicable.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a related discipline is preferred.
- Minimum of 7-9 years’ experience in IT Project Management, encompassing all/most knowledge areas: scope, time, cost, quality, HR, communications, risk, procurement, and integration management.
- Experience with development lifecycle management is advantageous.
- Certification in Process Improvement Methodology is considered an asset.
- Vendor Management experience is beneficial.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Project, Simple Accounting, and SharePoint.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), with strong motivation and persuasion capabilities.
- Exceptional organizational, planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Significant experience in Large Application or Infrastructure Delivery Projects is essential.
- Prior experience with Salesforce, FIS DX, and/or financial applications (MS Dynamics, Quantum).
- Experience managing Security or IT Infrastructure projects, such as Cloud Infrastructure, Servers/Data Centers, and end-point software rollouts.
- Experience in technology aspects of business Merger and Acquisition activities.
- Outcome and deliverable-focused orientation with a strong action bias; disciplined in managing scope, time, and cost.
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with all management levels and staff.
- Demonstrate adaptability, flexibility, and resourcefulness in complex or uncertain scenarios.
- Creative and imaginative problem-solving skills.
- Capability to train, mentor, and coach non-project managers in project management and governance.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in team environments, considering diverse viewpoints and managing conflicts effectively.
