Robert Half is partnered with our client in the search for a newly added Finance Manager. Our client is a dynamic and entrepreneurial family office overseeing a portfolio of diverse businesses across various industries. Position Summary

The Finance Manager will play a critical role in managing the financial health of our businesses by overseeing operational accounting, financial planning and analysis, reporting, and compliance. Additionally, the role will support mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activities, working closely with the CFO to drive strategic initiatives and ensure sound financial decision-making.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the accounting processes for all businesses within the portfolio, ensuring timely and accurate financial records.
  • Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights to support decision-making.
  • Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and present actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure business success.
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements for the holding company and its subsidiaries.
  • Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the CFO in presenting financial results to family stakeholders and the board.
  • Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors.
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate financial risks.
  • Conduct financial due diligence for potential acquisitions.
  • Assist in evaluating investment opportunities and developing financial models.
  • Support post-acquisition integration, ensuring seamless transitions and financial alignment.


Qualifications and Skills

  • CPA designation (or equivalent) is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, financial analysis, and/or financial management.
  • Experience in M&A, audit, or consulting environments is highly desirable.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including experience with consolidation and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Excel skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and financial software.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Adaptable and capable of managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
