Job Title: Millwright - Mining Mill, Conveyor Experience

Location: Bethune Mine, Saskatchewan

Job Type: July – Oct (some starting in June)

Compensation: Base rate dependent on experience; Living Out Allowance (LOA) may be provided; No travel allowance

Experience: Minimum 8 years in Millwright role, preferably with mining mill and conveyor belt experience

Schedule: 9/5 Rotation, 11 hours per day


Seeking an experienced Millwright with expertise in mining mill and conveyor belt maintenance for dynamic roles at Bethune Mine, Saskatchewan.


Responsibilities:


  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment and machinery, with a focus on mining mill and conveyor belt systems, following safety protocols and manufacturer specifications.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and longevity of mining equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues using precision tools and equipment, and develop effective repair strategies for mining mill and conveyor systems.
  • Collaborate with maintenance team members to prioritize and efficiently complete work orders, minimizing downtime.
  • Follow all safety regulations and procedures, including lockout/tagout protocols, to maintain a safe working environment in mining operations.
  • Accurately document maintenance activities, including repairs made, parts used, and time spent, ensuring thorough record-keeping.
  • Participate in training programs and workshops to stay updated with industry standards and best practices for mining mill and conveyor maintenance.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and contractors to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth operations of mining equipment.


Requirements:


  • Minimum 8 years of experience as a Millwright, with a focus on heavy industrial machinery, particularly in mining mill and conveyor belt maintenance.
  • Red Seal Millwright certification or equivalent qualification is required.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics related to mining mill and conveyor equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills, with a thorough understanding of mining mill and conveyor system components.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team in physically demanding environments.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures at all times.
