Our client is looking for a dynamic, hands-on Senior Leader of Quality Assurance & Regulatory Compliance to join their growing company and lead the charge in shaping and executing their quality strategy.


This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic, entrepreneurial leader to drive product excellence, ensure compliance across multiple markets, and champion continuous improvement in a fast-paced, innovative environment. As a senior leader, you'll play a key role in building a strong quality foundation while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to align quality with their business vision.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Shape and execute the QA and regulatory compliance strategy, ensuring product quality and safety meet the highest standards while supporting business growth.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of compliance standards (HACCP, GMP, FDA, TTB, ISO) across local, national, and international markets. Ensure the business remains ahead of evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Risk Management & Continuous Improvement: Own risk management and drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, eliminate non-compliance, and enhance product quality in a fast-moving environment.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Build and inspire a high-performing, collaborative QA team. Provide mentorship, training, and development opportunities while driving accountability and fostering a culture of growth and innovation.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, Operations, and other teams to ensure seamless integration of quality and compliance goals with broader business objectives.
  • Customer & Market Insights: Use market feedback and customer insights to resolve escalated product quality issues and inform product/process improvements.
  • Safety & Sustainability: Champion safety and environmental standards while driving initiatives that reduce waste, minimize energy consumption, and promote sustainability across all operations.
  • Reporting & Executive Leadership: Regularly report to the executive team on compliance performance, quality metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring that strategic insights drive business decisions.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 10+ years in senior leadership roles within Quality Assurance or Regulatory Compliance, ideally within the food and beverage industry. Experience in alcohol co-packaging and navigating global regulatory landscapes is a significant plus.
  • Leadership: Proven success in leading cross-functional teams, particularly in fast-growing, entrepreneurial environments. Ability to influence senior leadership and drive business-aligned quality strategies.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong command of food safety standards (HACCP, GMP, ISO, FDA, TTB), regulatory compliance, and risk management strategies within the beverage industry.
  • Skills: Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with the ability to manage complex regulatory environments and drive change. A collaborative, hands-on approach to leadership and problem-solving.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: Ability to thrive in a startup or growth-stage environment, balancing strategic vision with the flexibility and agility needed to execute on day-to-day operational challenges.
