About the Client:


Our client has cracked the code that makes DREAMS POSSIBLE for millions of entrepreneurs, solopreneurs, and content creators: to make money through your social channels. The founder of this startup is a Stanford graduate who convinced a few rich & famous people in the USA to give him money. They did. The company has been in business 3 years. ARR is $30M. They are PROFITABLE. Mic drop.


The Opportunity:


Joining as the company's FIRST Head of Product, your mission is to level up everything to get to the end goal: a UNICORN VALUATION (which is not far off....)


Practically speaking: you're going to deep dive into the weeds of how sh*t currently gets done, and then apply the playbook you already have, to do everything better. Think VELOCITY.


An important part of this mission will be putting the USER at the centre of everything.


Your HIGH STANDARD OF DESIGN AESTHETIC is going to be applied to this mission so users can run their businesses with little friction and love it so much they become brand advocates of the product to their communities.


Speaking of USERS, get ready to obsess with empathy over entrepreneurs, solopreneurs, life coaches, podcasters, personal fitness coaches, GirlBosses and anyone else trying to monetize a side hustle or legit business to realize a dream or build a healthy financial future.


The Skills/Requirement Needed to Succeed:


You're probably pretty excited and ready to submit your resume. BUT WAIT. Here's the fine print:


We need someone who aligns to these 3 criteria:


1) You have FOUNDER experience.

I'm referring to having FOUNDED a product company or was the FOUNDING PRODUCT MANAGER at a company who achieved commercial success.


2) You have a high standard of design aesthetic.

If your resume and everything you put out into the world is filled with friction or looks ugly or worse: looks "legacy" - it's not going to happen. Sorry not sorry.


Remember: you're going to be building a CONSUMER EXPERIENCE UNICORN and everything someone experiences about you needs to confirm that.


3) You've had success in a Product Led business

Be ready to tell me your HERO STORY


I couldn't care less about how many people you've managed or your "strategic thinking abilities"


Tell me about the # of monthly actives you added to the business while you were grinding it out.


Tell me about the mistakes you made trying to get to the first million downloads and what you learned and how you'll apply those learning to our client.


PS: this role is BASED in Toronto.

You'll love working in their gorg space that overlooks Lake Ontario. Collaboration is something these folks value and you'll be working in lock step with the CoFounder who lives in Toronto.
