Robert Half is partnered with our client in their search for a Global Payroll Specialist to join their team reporting to the Director of Finance and working closely with human resources. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to propel their career in payroll administration within a global context.


As a Global Payroll Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the payroll operations across a global organization. Working closely with the payroll team, you will be responsible for assisting with the accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees located in multiple countries. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in payroll administration while contributing to the success of our organization.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll for employees located in various countries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations (Canada, US, Europe, Asia and more).
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather and verify payroll data, including timesheets, employee information, and benefits deductions.
  • Conduct audits and validations to ensure payroll data integrity and resolve discrepancies as needed.
  • Assist with the administration of employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other compensation-related programs.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of payroll systems and software, including data entry, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in payroll laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Provide excellent customer service to employees by responding to payroll-related inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with ad-hoc payroll projects and initiatives as assigned by management.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • PCP designation or pursuing is a strong asset.
  • 1-2 years of experience with North American payroll (Canada and the US).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other payroll software/systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
