Looking for a summer gig that’s way cooler than flipping burgers? At GCL Environmental Ltd., we’re on the hunt for passionate, adventurous, and motivated students to join our team as Environmental Field Technicians. This is your chance to get out there, get your hands dirty, and make a real-world impact in a fun, dynamic environment.

About the Position


As a Summer Student at GCL, you won’t just be sitting behind a desk—you’ll be in the field, working alongside industry pros who are as committed to the environment as you are. If you’re not afraid to tackle challenges head-on and want to level up your skills, this is the perfect fit.


What You’ll Do

  • Dive into exciting vegetative assessments, detailed site assessments that actually make a difference.
  • Gain hands-on experience in environmental management and consulting.
  • Work in fast-paced, ever-changing environments—sometimes independently, sometimes as part of a supportive team.
  • Get outside Conduct fieldwork in all types of weather and terrains (we promise, you’ll have stories to tell).
  • Learn to operate vehicles and equipment safely, with some off-road adventure thrown in.
  • Communicate your ideas and findings in a way that makes everyone say, “Whoa, you really know your stuff”


Who We’re Looking For

  • Enthusiastic, environmentally-minded students who want to make an impact (and have some fun while doing it).
  • Self-starters who can juggle multiple projects at once.
  • People with great communication skills (written, verbal, and everything in between).
  • Nature lovers who are cool with working outdoors in all kinds of weather.
  • Class 5 driver’s license in hand—bonus points if you’ve got some off-highway vehicle experience.
