Looking for a summer gig that’s way cooler than flipping burgers? At GCL Environmental Ltd. , we’re on the hunt for passionate, adventurous, and motivated students to join our team as Environmental Field Technicians . This is your chance to get out there, get your hands dirty, and make a real-world impact in a fun, dynamic environment.

About the Position


As a Summer Student at GCL, you won’t just be sitting behind a desk—you’ll be in the field, working alongside industry pros who are as committed to the environment as you are. If you’re not afraid to tackle challenges head-on and want to level up your skills, this is the perfect fit.


What You’ll Do

  • Dive into exciting vegetative assessments, detailed site assessments that actually make a difference.
  • Gain hands-on experience in environmental management and consulting .
  • Work in fast-paced, ever-changing environments—sometimes independently, sometimes as part of a supportive team.
  • Get outside Conduct fieldwork in all types of weather and terrains (we promise, you’ll have stories to tell).
  • Learn to operate vehicles and equipment safely, with some off-road adventure thrown in.
  • Communicate your ideas and findings in a way that makes everyone say, “Whoa, you really know your stuff”


Who We’re Looking For

  • Enthusiastic, environmentally-minded students who want to make an impact (and have some fun while doing it).
  • Self-starters who can juggle multiple projects at once.
  • People with great communication skills (written, verbal, and everything in between).
  • Nature lovers who are cool with working outdoors in all kinds of weather.
  • Class 5 driver’s license in hand—bonus points if you’ve got some off-highway vehicle experience.
