Generative AI Engineer - Short-Term Rental Asset Optimization

We are looking for a Generative AI Engineer to join our startup and complement our Data Science and Engineering teams. This role is pivotal in ensuring our platform leverages the latest AI advancements, making it easy for users to underwrite properties, optimize revenue, and manage their portfolios seamlessly.

Your Mission

To build an AI-powered platform that transforms how investors and property managers discover, evaluate, and optimize short-term rental assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • AI-first product development: Integrate LLMs and generative AI into our core product, creating a seamless, intuitive experience for property underwriting, revenue forecasting, and portfolio analysis.
  • Strategic prompt engineering and AI workflow design: Develop and refine sophisticated prompts and structured inputs to maximize the quality and accuracy of AI-generated insights for property assessments and user interactions.
  • Modern data wrangling and feature engineering: Master the art of extracting actionable insights from diverse datasets, both structured and unstructured, optimizing training data, and building real-time analytics for underwriting and performance optimization.
  • Intelligent underwriting and automation: Architect an interactive, AI-powered assistant that empowers users to make data-driven investment and management decisions with confidence.
  • Collaborative AI development: Partner closely with data scientists and full-stack engineers to deploy and scale AI models, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • AI research and innovation: Stay at the forefront of AI advancements, particularly in LLMs, vector databases, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and apply them to enhance our platform's capabilities.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in AI/ML engineering, with a strong focus on LLMs, NLP, and Generative AI applications.
  • Expertise in Python, LangChain, OpenAI API, Hugging Face and other leading AI/ML frameworks.
  • Proven experience with advanced data wrangling, RAG, vector databases (such as Pinecone, Weaviate or FAISS) and fine-tuning LLMs for domain-specific applications.
  • Deep understanding of prompt engineering, embedding models, and AI workflow optimization.
  • Experience deploying AI solutions in production environments on cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Strong understanding of how to build and maintain a vector database.
  • Demonstrated ability to take a project from concept to production (0 to 1).
