About the Company

Our client is a well-established and highly regarded law firm based in Toronto is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant to join their team. This is a hybrid remote role with 2 days per week in the office.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, draft, and format legal documents, including pleadings, correspondence, and court filings
  • Manage case files, ensuring all documents are organized and up to date
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings, court dates, and deadlines
  • Assist with e-filing and document production for various courts and tribunals
  • Communicate with clients, court staff, and opposing counsel in a professional manner
  • Conduct basic legal research and compile relevant case materials
  • Process billing, time entries, and expense reports
  • Provide general administrative support to the litigation team

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years of Commercial Litigation and/or Health Law
  • Strong knowledge of Ontario Rules of Civil Procedure and court filing processes
  • Proficiency in legal document preparation and formatting
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal practice management software
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
