Sussex is seeking a technically skilled and experienced Group Director of Digital Campaigns to join our team in our Toronto or Ottawa office. The successful candidate will bring a proven track record of success in digital media marketing and creative strategy, with at least 15 years of experience in the field. The Group Director of Digital Campaigns will be responsible for providing senior strategic leadership, managing digital advertising campaigns, reporting and generating effective campaigns through analytics and creative strategy.
The ideal candidate is someone with a superior writing skillset, has strong client and project management skills, digital channel platform experience and experience managing and developing campaigns across a wide variety of mediums and channels (i.e. websites, social media, email, etc.). Experience leading and articulating client-side strategy and an ability to translate campaign metrics into strategic recommendations will be essential.
Ways You Can Contribute
- Develop and implement comprehensive public affairs campaigns to support client objectives, including message development, stakeholder engagement, tactical planning, and reporting and insights.
- Lead the planning, execution, and optimization of digital advertising campaigns across multiple media, CRM, database and Webflow platforms.
- Monitor, analyze and optimize campaign performance metrics on an ongoing basis to increase performance and drive down acquisition costs.
- Manage a team of digital marketing, project management and creative professionals to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices to ensure our campaigns are innovative and cutting edge.
Who You Are
- Minimum of 15+ years' experience in digital marketing, with a focus on managing digital advertising campaigns.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Advertising, or a related field.
- Proven track record of driving results through data-driven decision-making and creative strategy.
- Strong leadership, team management, and collaboration skills.
- Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills. Successful candidates should not only be able to demonstrate strong public-facing communications skills (i.e. campaign communications), but an ability to articulate strategic thinking clearly and concisely to clients.
- Proven experience designing and leading successful public affairs campaigns; strong understanding of the political landscape in Canada, especially within government structures and decision-making processes.
- Experience in an agency or client-facing role is preferred, though consideration will be given to candidates who have experience managing internal stakeholders through strategic decision-making.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Hands on expertise setting up, managing, optimizing and reporting on digital advertising campaigns.
- Proven organization, time management and problem-solving skills.
