Role: Business Analyst with Data Modeling
Location: Mississauga, ON (hybrid/3 days a week from day one)
Overview:
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 8+ years of experience in business analysis and strong in data Modeling with a focus on capital markets. The candidate should also have expertise in SQL. CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) certification is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough analysis of business processes, systems, and data within the capital or fixed markets domain.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional specifications and user stories.
- Perform data analysis and create detailed reports to support decision-making processes.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and propose solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure accurate implementation of business requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute project plans.
Requirements:
You are:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the capital or fixed markets industry.
- Strong in data modeling
- Strong knowledge of capital markets products, including equities, fixed income, derivatives, and investment banking.
- Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and querying.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
It would be great if you also had:
- CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) certification is a plus
- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools is a plus.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements is desirable.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
