FinOps and Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)


Location: Can be situated anywhere in Canada within proximity to a CGI office.

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated French-speaking individual to join our team as a FinOps and Site Reliability Engineer (SRE). This role is pivotal in bridging our finance and technology teams to ensure the successful implementation and management of our FinOps strategies.



As a FinOps and SRE specialist, you will be at the forefront of managing and optimizing our cloud financial operations. Your role involves working closely with our finance team to design, build, and maintain the necessary requirements for an effective FinOps framework. You will be responsible for ensuring our cloud spending is optimized, aligning with our financial goals and technology needs.


Key Responsibilities:


- Collaborate with finance and technology teams to develop and implement FinOps strategies and practices.

- Monitor and analyze cloud usage and spending to identify optimization opportunities.

- Implement and maintain cost-optimization tools and processes.

- Develop and enforce policies for efficient cloud resource utilization.

- Facilitate financial accountability in the technology team, ensuring budget alignment.

- Conduct regular reviews and audits of cloud expenses and usage.

- Develop and maintain documentation related to FinOps processes and policies.

- Ensure high availability and reliability of our cloud infrastructure.

- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues in coordination with the SRE team.


Qualifications:


- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related field.

- Proven experience in FinOps, cloud financial management, or a related field.

- Strong understanding of cloud technologies and services (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Experience with infrastructure and operations in a Site Reliability Engineering context.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

- Knowledge of cost optimization strategies and tools in cloud environments.



Preferred Skills:

-Bilingual- French/English

- Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Experience with automation and scripting languages.

- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.

En tant que spécialiste FinOps et SRE, vous serez à l'avant-garde de la gestion et de l'optimisation de nos opérations financières dans le cloud. Responsabilités principales :



  • Collaborer avec les équipes financières et technologiques pour développer et mettre en œuvre des stratégies et des pratiques FinOps.
  • Surveiller et analyser l'utilisation du cloud et les dépenses pour identifier des opportunités d'optimisation.
  • Mettre en œuvre et maintenir des outils et des processus d'optimisation des coûts.
  • Développer et appliquer des politiques pour une utilisation efficace des ressources cloud.
  • Faciliter la responsabilité financière au sein de l'équipe technologique, en assurant l'alignement budgétaire.
  • Effectuer des examens réguliers et des audits des dépenses et de l'utilisation du cloud.
  • Développer et maintenir la documentation liée aux processus et politiques FinOps.
  • Garantir la disponibilité et la fiabilité élevées de notre infrastructure cloud.
  • Résoudre les problèmes d'infrastructure en coordination avec l'équipe SRE.



Qualifications :



  • Maîtrise du français et de l'anglais.
  • Diplôme de baccalauréat en informatique, génie, finance ou domaine connexe.
  • Expérience avérée en FinOps, gestion financière dans le cloud ou domaine connexe.
  • Compréhension approfondie des technologies et services cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Expérience avec l'infrastructure et les opérations dans un contexte d'ingénierie de fiabilité des sites.
  • Excellentes compétences analytiques et résolution de problèmes.
  • Fortes compétences en communication et en collaboration.
  • Connaissance des stratégies et outils d'optimisation des coûts dans les environnements cloud.
  • Compétences préférées :


  • Certifications sur les plateformes cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Expérience avec l'automatisation et les langages de script.
  • Familiarité avec les méthodologies Agile et les pratiques DevOps.
