About the Role:

Our client is seeking an experienced, results-driven Personal Injury Lawyer to join our client’s dynamic legal team. As a key member of the firm, you will be responsible for handling a diverse caseload that includes all areas of personal injury law. The ideal candidate will have 3 or more years of experience in personal injury, strong advocacy skills, and the ability to manage client relationships while delivering outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Representation: Represent clients in all different types of personal injury cases.
  • Case Management: Manage all aspects of personal injury cases from inception to resolution, including legal research, document preparation, filing, and court appearances.
  • Negotiation & Settlement: Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel to achieve fair compensation for clients.
  • Litigation: Handle litigation matters, including drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents, as well as representing clients in trial and pre-trial hearings.
  • Client Relations: Maintain regular communication with clients, keeping them informed on case progress, explaining legal issues, and providing sound advice.
  • Legal Strategy: Develop and implement legal strategies tailored to each client's needs, and advocate for the client’s best interests both inside and outside the courtroom.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with support staff, paralegals, and other legal professionals to ensure efficient case progression.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in personal injury law, with a proven track record of successful settlements and/or trial outcomes.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of personal injury law and relevant case law, as well as a solid understanding of the Ontario legal system.
  • Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong negotiation abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Client-Focused: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive client relationships, providing personalized attention and support throughout the legal process.
