Administrative Assistant/Data Entry

Are you a detail-oriented individual with a knack for organization and a passion for excellence? Altis is excited to partner with a leading mortgage broker in the search for a Data Entry Administrator for a full-time permanent position located in Ottawa.
Responsibilities:
- Enter new deals and ensure products reach the correct office
- Collaborate with brokers and underwriters to gather all necessary information
- Maintain strong communication and organization skills to quickly find and respond to information
- Manage and streamline the workflow for new deals
- Provide data and file management for mortgage files from external mortgage brokers to BHC mortgage underwriters
- Receive emails from brokers, Mortgage Automator, or underwriters regarding new deal submissions
- Add all emails and documents into the designated folder
- Follow up with brokers for any missing documents
- Update the New Deals/Data Entry to ensure the most current information
- Maintain the appraisal spreadsheet to ensure accurate appraiser information
- Update files as needed
- Set up new files for underwriters
Requirements:
- Prior data entry/admin experience; understanding of the mortgage industry is a plus
- High degree of accuracy in data entry from external provided documents and forms to internal programs
- Excellent communication skills with external clients and managers via email, telephone, and in person
- Proficient in Excel: able to maintain and improve existing Excel programs (assigning macros, locking cells, protecting spreadsheets, conditional formatting, understanding data sources, and usage)
