We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Site Logistics EH&S Field Technician to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to make meaningful contributions to our operations while promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and implement innovative solutions and technologies to enhance operational safety.
  • Enhance operational work processes, procedures, checklists, and tools to optimize efficiency and safety.
  • Challenge the status quo and seek opportunities for improving work practices.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of overall facility operations and partner services for loading, washing, warehouse management, rail operations, and rail car maintenance.
  • Provide support for the commissioning and start-up of capital and expense projects.
  • Conduct EH&S audits and assessments in the field.
  • Participate in audits and self-assessments to ensure departmental EH&S compliance.
  • Support the implementation of EH&S initiatives and programs.
  • Participate in EH&S training sessions as required.
  • Contribute to root cause investigations for incidents and accidents.
  • Collaborate on continuous improvement efforts for Site Logistics EH&S procedures and related documents.
  • Interpret and provide coaching on standards, policies, and guidelines.
  • Provide input for recommended changes to policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Actively participate in the Management of Change (MOC) process.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to Natural Work Teams as needed.
  • Attend Site Logistics Safety and Tailgate meetings.
  • Participate in Pre-Job meetings when necessary.
  • Attend the Daily Morning Activity Meeting in Fort Saskatchewan.


Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in an EH&S role, preferably in an industrial setting.
  • Strong understanding of EH&S regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to field locations as required.
