**Job Overview**:
APTIM is looking for an HSE Field Lead who is local to the Fort McMurray region. The HSE Field Lead will provide key advice and assistance to site management to administer and manage the company’s Health, Safety & Environmental Program at the project level.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Maintaining, issuing and instructing workers on the care, use and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
- Developing, coordinating, and implementing the site specific emergency response plans
- Assisting or aiding in the development of site specific safe work plans, policies, procedures, practices, job hazard analysis (JHA), extra hazardous and repair work, communicating and providing education to crew members
- Providing guidance, assistance and coordination in the implementation and maintenance of the Toolbox talks, 5 X 5 implementation, STARRT Card reviews, and daily Work Smart stretching programs
- Assisting and providing promotional information to site supervision for the weekly safety meeting and conducting when required
- Promoting and participating in the site incentive programs to improve worker and crew involvement and awareness of workplace safety
- Assisting and providing injured workers with prompt first aid or medical attention, administering, and maintaining records of the company’s modified work program
- Notifying the project team and the EH&S Manager of all incidents
- Following all site-specific safety requirements and communication them to crew, supervision, and all visitors.
- Conducting site specific new hire orientation and safety training as required maintain and record all documentation
- Assisting or conducting site safety inspection and investigation
- Maintaining EH&S certifications and attending any safety related training courses.
- Attending and participating in all site safety related safety committees and meetings
- Review all project trends, statistics, and related EH&S performance. Providing input/support for implementation of action items from these trends and statistics.
- HSE presence in the field 80% of the time and when schedule permits.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent in general studies and certificate or training in health and safety
- Must be NCSO Certified
- One to three years of experience in HSE in the oil and gas industry
- One to three years or more of experience relative to investigation, root cause analysis and risk rating analysis
- Must be local to the Fort McMurray region or willing to relocate
- Build strong customer relationships
- Define goals and objectives, schedule and develop projects or programs
- Structure new or innovative practices, programs, products or environments
- Effectively solve problems and challenges that satisfy customers
- Performs work independently with mínimal supervision
- Perform other duties as may be required by programs and/or regulatory changes or as assigned
