As an HRIS Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and security of our HR data while leveraging technology to streamline HR processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of HRIS systems, exceptional analytical skills, and a passion for driving efficiency through technology.


POSITION DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Manager, Total Rewards, the HRIS Specialist will be responsible for implementing and managing projects and activities related to the HRIS system project.


ROLE DESCRIPTION

  • Lead various HRIS projects, including implementation support, and system optimization related but not limited to HR, benefits, performance management, learning and development, operations, dashboards, complex and ad-hoc reporting, data management, security, and data integrity.
  • Work closely with the ESA HRIS implementation team to ensure configuration of the system is aligned with the organization’s payroll and business processes.
  • Liaise with the business and functional leaders to identify, map, draft and configure business workflows in the system, ensuring the business units and users’ needs are aligned.
  • Provide guidance on efficient and practical business process design and improvements.
  • Perform functional testing on all aspects of enhancements, modifications and new processes related to HR system changes across all modules.
  • Plan, design, develop, test, deploy, deliver, and maintain HRIS related integrations of apps, dashboards and reporting across all modules.
  • Execute system enhancements, including new functionality roll outs and modifications of existing functionality, integrations and perform in-depth tests to meet our business needs.
  • Investigate and resolve complex system-related issues and quickly escalate for timely resolution.
  • Provide experienced technical input in the selection of optional features through active engagement to review the current trends and upcoming feature updates.
  • Analyze and audit data for accuracy and integrity and manage problem resolution by overseeing system updates where applicable.
  • Develop training guides and information manuals using a variety of mediums for use by all levels of employees; explore and determine best practices and communicate them through the manual.
  • Produce ad hoc reports as needed and endeavor to standardize reports for future use.
  • Provide the roadmap for all updates and initiatives.
  • Maintain a Human Resources Information System (HRIS) including the data collection, validation, dashboards, reporting and analytics throughout system implementation.
  • Adhere to company and legislated confidentiality and privacy policies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum five (5) years of functional HRIS systems experience.
  • Implementation experience is of required.
  • Direct experience with various HRIS product offerings.
  • Post-secondary education preferably in Human Resources Management or Business Administration is preferred.
  • Ability to handle a large volume of work and competing priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Advanced computer system knowledge including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Exceptional judgment and discretion in managing highly sensitive and confidential information.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills; attention to detail is critical part of this role.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Maintain efficient office procedures and a system for keeping track of multiple, competing priorities.
  • Professional and friendly communications with co-workers, and clients.
