The Opportunity:
We are currently seeking a Senior IT Systems Administrator to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure. You will oversee the management and maintenance of our network, servers, and client systems, while also spearheading efforts to fortify network security for safeguarding our data and operations.
Your main areas of focus include:
System Administration:
Manage and configure server/client systems.
Administer Microsoft Linux VMs.
Administer Microsoft 365.
Setup, tweak, and upkeep networking and end-user devices.
Network Security:
Ensure network security and stability in both local and cloud-based settings.
Implement and supervise security protocols to protect data and network operations.
Conduct routine system audits to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate risks.
Maintain data backups to uphold data integrity and availability.
Technical Support:
Deliver direct technical support for IT infrastructure and end-user challenges.
Resolve technical issues promptly and effectively while adhering to company policies.
Project Management:
Collaborate with the IT Manager and project stakeholders to strategize and execute system upgrades, migrations, and implementation of new technologies.
Coordinate with vendors and service providers to ensure timely delivery of products and services.
Desired Qualifications:
Degree, diploma, or certificate in Information Technology or related field.
At least 5 years of experience in system and network administration, involving Microsoft 365, Microsoft VMs, Cloud Services, and Linux systems.
Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, and other scripting languages.
Demonstrated experience in supporting IT systems in a corporate setting with 50+ users.
Outstanding troubleshooting skills and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Preferred: Experience in database administration for SQL Server and other databases. Proficiency in coding and dev-ops tools such as PHP, Python, SQL, Git, and Docker.
