**PURPOSE OF POSITION**

**TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Safety**:

- Comply with and enforces all Nortrak safety policies and regulations.
- Wears appropriate PPE in manufacturing facilities.

**Quality**:

- Adheres to Nortrak policies and procedures.
- Adheres to voestalpine Minimum IT Security Standards and group standards, policies and procedures.
- Adheres to industry standards and best practises.
- Consistently provides the highest standard of IT service.

**On-Time Delivery**:

- Supports and manages areas of responsibility consistently and in a timely manner.
- Finishes assigned tasks and projects on schedule or before deadline.
- Troubleshoots and solves hardware and software problems in a timely fashion.
- Provides timely IT support to Nortrak employees.
- Monitors key parameters and addresses issues promptly.

**Costs**:

- Recommends necessary improvements to network hardware and software.
- Seeks opportunities for increased efficiency in the delivery of IT based services.

**People**:

- Collaborates extremely well with IT Manager, Senior Systems Administrator and Network Administrators.
- Maintains close communication with employees and project members to ensure individual IT needs are being met.
- Follows up on the solutions provided to users to ensure their requirements have been satisfied.
- Provides a high level of respect for all employees, colleagues and business partners.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**OTHER RESPONSIBLITIES**:

- Supports IT Operations:

- Data Protection Operations (Backup, Replication, Monitoring, on-prem & cloud) and Disaster Recovery
- Application Updates, Packaging and Deployment
- Server Management (Installation, Monitoring, Patching)
- Core Infrastructure (File Servers, Print, DHCP)
- Server Room maintenance (UPS, AC, Env, Power, Rack, Network, Cabling)
- Server Upgrades
- Data Management (File shares, server storage, SAN)
- Network Management & Implementation
- Data Archiving
- Permissions Management
- Addresses voestalpine group standards and requirements in vulnerability, asset, account and license management requirements, including any new requirements.
- Manages, plans and implements projects according to company requirements.
- Identifies requirements and areas of opportunities.
- Manages user accounts through the user account lifecycle.
- Maintains Local Area Network and monitors network performance.
- Supports Internet communications and telecom requirements.
- Installs, configures and maintains network switches.
- Installs, configures and maintains server room infrastructure.
- Supports mixed technology manufacturing environments and has familiarity with Industrial Automation technologies and concepts.
- Manages file shares and permissions adhering to protocols and data confidentiality requirements.
- Installs, configures, and maintains workstations and network devices according to company standards.
- All additional tasks as required.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other suitable discipline; or,
- Two years of post-secondary Computer Science Diploma

**Field of Experience and Certifications**:

- A minimum of 5 years of experience in System Administration
- Microsoft MCSA
- Cisco CCNA certification
- VMware Certified Professional
- AWS or Azure Professional Certification
- Project+

**TECHNICAL SKILLS**:

- Windows Operating Systems (client and server)
- Networking technologies including hardware, software, topologies and protocols
- Active Directory
- Disaster Recovery
- Datacenter Infrastructure
- End User Support
- Troubleshooting of IT related issues, problem analysis and problem solving
- Knowledge in:

- Microsoft Windows Client Management
- Network Administration (TCP/IP, L2/L3 protocols, switch installation, configuration, management)
- PowerShell and scripting
- Netapp Ontap
- Microsoft SQL Server, Database Administration
- Virtualization Technologies (Hyper-V, VMWare)
