Human Resources Director

The ideal candidate will support the full scope of Human Resources responsibilities and partner with the organization on strategic initiatives. They will maintain and enhance the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating human resources policies, programs, and practices. 

 Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and manage: budgets, training, HR programs, administration, policies, and procedures. Ensure alignment of all budgets, policies, procedures, programs, training, and administration with all applicable legislation, contracts, Company vision, values, and strategic objectives.

Handle employee related services, regulatory compliance, and employee relations in both union and non-union environments. Manages the recruitment program from strategic planning to implementation to ensure our company attracts, hires, develops and retains qualified employees. Duties and Responsibilities

Communication

o Consistently and effectively communicate the company mission, initiatives and objectives to internal teams through organized and scheduled conference calls, meetings and email communications as required by the business

o Provide updates for internal teams in key areas of the business to communicate new and approved, programs, policies, procedures, training, etc.

o Communicate with internal teams regarding program opportunities, updates, challenges, and changes to ensure alignment on program objective achievement o Ensure effective written and verbal communications via all channels including but not limited to reports, emails, calls, presentations, meetings, etc.

People Management

o Ensure that trends of underperformance are formally addressed, with clear and documented performance improvement plans.

o Formally recognize strong performers within the assigned team.

o Manage assigned team towards acceptable performance standards.

o Ensure the team plan reflects high standards, bench and succession planning, coupled with consistent mentoring and people development.

o Manage, develop, train, hire and support all direct reports.

o Work with all internal teams to ensure alignment of operational needs with HR programs, administration, policies, procedures, legislation and union contracts

o Develop, implement, manage, and evolve, training, HR programs, administration, policies, and procedures. Handle employee related services, regulatory compliance, and employee relations issues in both union and non-union environments. o Manages the recruitment program from strategic planning to implementation to ensure our company attracts, hires, develops and retains qualified employees.

o Execute all duties in accordance with the company’s key performance indicators, business objectives, guiding values, policies and procedures

o Work with Sr. Director to forecast, prepare, manage and propose departmental budgets
