We are seeking a talented and experienced HR Manager to join our team. The HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources management within the firm, including recruitment, payroll, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compliance, and HR strategy development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR management, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a passion for fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Recruitment and Staffing :
Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent to the firm.
Payroll:
Manage various tasks related to ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries and wages to employees. These responsibilities include payroll processing for approx. 46 employees, 2 payrolls (Payworks), employee data management, tax compliance, benefits admin, record keeping and reporting.
Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and management on HR-related issues.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote a positive work culture and foster employee engagement.
Performance Management:
Oversee the performance management process, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and coaching. Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on performance-related matters.
Identify opportunities for training and development to enhance employee performance and career growth.
Training and Development:
Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
Coordinate with external trainers and vendors to deliver specialized training sessions as needed.
Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR best practices and legal requirements.
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
HR Strategy Development:
Collaborate with senior management to develop HR strategies and initiatives that support the firm's goals and objectives.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the HR function.
Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on HR metrics and initiatives.
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR management, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
HR certification - CHRP preferred.
