We work with the best law firms in downtown Vancouver, the lower mainland, and around BC. Several of our clients are seeking talented and experienced Real Estate and Conveyancer Paralegal. Successful candidates will have extensive experience in Commercial Real Estate law, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and a paralegal or legal assistant diploma or certificate would be considered an asset.


Salary range falls between CAD $65,000 and CAD $115,000 per year based on your level of experience, certifications the skills you possess.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist lawyers with all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, leasing, and development.
  • Prepare and review a variety of real estate documents, such as agreements of purchase and sale, leases, amendments, assignments, and closing documents.
  • Conduct and analyze due diligence, including title searches, off-title searches, corporate searches, and zoning compliance.
  • Coordinate and manage closings, including preparation of closing agendas, statements of adjustments, and closing binders.
  • Liaise with clients, lenders, brokers, municipal officials, and other stakeholders to facilitate transactions.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing and registration of documents with appropriate authorities.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date physical and electronic files.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to junior team members and legal assistants.
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by senior lawyers and partners.


Qualifications:

  • Paralegal diploma or certificate from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a paralegal, with significant experience in commercial real estate.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial real estate law and procedures.
  • Proficiency with legal software and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Superior organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Professional demeanor and strong client service orientation.
