About the Job

  • Responsibilities include:
    • Receiving and reviewing instructions from realtors and lenders
    • Obtaining applicable searches and due diligence
    • Liaising with solicitors for other parties, and drafting correspondence to clients, purchasers, solicitors, and financial institutions
    • Reviewing loan agreements, preparing security documents, and drafting various legal documents and communications
    • Attending to registration in appropriate registries
    • Involvement in all aspects of a closing
    • Final reporting and final due diligence
  • Handling a variety of transactions, including residential and commercial real estate
  • Managing your own file load, including legal and administrative tasks
  • Supporting junior staff by answering questions and sharing knowledge
The Offer

The firm is committed to providing a well-balanced work life for their employees and offer a competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to 90,000 per annum commensurate with experience, and benefits package, as well as firm events and staff appreciation activities.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience working as a Paralegal/Conveyancer in real estate, banking, financing, or lending transactions
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate with clients and other stakeholders professionally
  • Ability to multi-task, and good attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (familiarity with e-conveyance, iManage, and Adobe are an asset)
