Position: Clinical Research Assistant (Hourly) – multiple positions

Location (Hospital): Peter Lougheed Centre, Calgary, Alberta

Collaborators: University of Calgary; Alberta Health Services

Hours per Week: flexible shifts (8 to 40 hours)

Duration: 8 months – could be extended

Starting Date: July, 2024

Compensation: $35-45/hour


This position is for individuals interested in healthcare, clinical research, and medical technology who will work under the direction of a supervisor, who may include physicians, nurse practitioners, or clinical trials experts. The individual for this position will be hired by the University of Calgary HR and supervised by MedProactive Inc.


Description:

The research assistant will conduct patient recruitment and data collection at the Zivot Limb Preservation clinic in Calgary on topics related to Foot Ulcers.


Responsibilities:

The research assistant will interview and recruit patients for the study. The research assistant will use the provided forms and tools at every patient appointment to capture wound/patient history and information. The research assistant will maintain and update data storage and communicate with other researchers.


Qualifications:

·     Comfortable with imaging, cloud storage, data transfer technology, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

·     Demonstrates a positive attitude and the willingness to work effectively in a team.

·     Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.

·     Ability to maintain a consistent level of productivity and efficiency.

·     Compliance with confidentiality requirements under the AHS Privacy Policy.

·     Effective organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
