Responsibilities:- Evaluate potential participants for research studies, meticulously assessing their eligibility based on established inclusion/exclusion criteria.
- Gather comprehensive family and medical histories from participants to ensure accurate data collection.
- Conduct thorough physical assessments of participants as required, diligently recording all pertinent information related to the research.
- Perform essential clinical procedures, including IV line placement and blood draws, adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Administer a range of medical tests, encompassing vital signs, imaging studies, and electrocardiograms, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
- Provide meticulous clinical monitoring throughout research protocols, documenting participant details before, during, and after procedures. This includes data entry and database management to maintain accurate records.
- Contribute to the Institutional Review Board (human subjects) reporting process by assisting with submissions and ensuring compliance with ethical guidelines.
- Stay abreast of current clinical and research practices through continuous professional development and training.
- Embrace a flexible approach and readily undertake additional duties as assigned by the research team.
- Possess a valid and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas, coupled with a minimum of two years of proven research experience.
- Demonstrate proficiency in nursing competency skills within your scope of practice, including vital signs assessment, nursing evaluations, ECG/EKG administration, and injection techniques.
- Exhibit a strong understanding of medical terminology, drug calculation principles, clinical medicine, clinical trials, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) concepts.
- Hold a Master's degree in a healthcare-related field with five years of research experience.
- Possess extensive experience with GCP, federal, state, and local regulations governing clinical research.
- Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced research environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel, as well as research databases, is essential.
- Exhibit excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey information to stakeholders.
- Possess strong professional interpersonal skills, customer service orientation, and the ability to multitask efficiently.
- Maintain a calm demeanor under pressure, prioritize tasks effectively, and consistently meet deadlines.
- Project a professional image and communicate clearly and respectfully with both the public and colleagues.
