Introduction
We're recruiting an Electrical Project Manager for a global leader in plant and process solutions. This leading manufacturer specializes in designing and constructing highly productive and innovative industrial plants for the Food & Beverage and consumer goods industries.
In this role, you will be responsible for researching, designing, developing, testing, and supervising the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, and systems. Your expertise will extend to providing electrical engineering and on-site technical support, specifically related to system installation, electrical components, controls, and instrumentation.
This position requires a dynamic individual who can contribute to the successful implementation of electrical projects while ensuring high-quality standards. Project-based travel within Canada and the US will be required.
Responsibilities
- Guide electricians, including contractors, ensuring adherence to contract specifications and quality standards, delegate tasks, and provide training.
- Design, implement, and maintain electrical systems for commercial and industrial purposes.
- Coordinate manufacturing, construction, and testing activities to meet specifications and customer requirements.
- Conduct calculations to establish standards and specifications, inspect installations for compliance, and prepare technical documentation.
- Plan power plant layouts, troubleshoot power system issues, and design energy-efficient systems.
- Maintain equipment, ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations, and contribute to process improvement.
- Record electrical operations, manage inventory, budgets, and purchases, and assist with control panel connections.
- Develop commissioning protocols and perform on-site commissioning and maintenance in compliance with standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec or Professional Engineers Ontario
- A minimum of five years of relevant experience
- Experience in high voltage, more the 480 volt, 220V and 380V
- Experience on low voltage control
- Familiar with electrical systems, Instrumentation, tools, equipment, codes, and safety procedures
- Familiar with computer software programs, such as Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and communication skills; verbal and written
- Aptitude to provide technical presentations and customer interaction

Objectif général du poste
À ce titre, vous serez responsable de la recherche, de la conception, du développement, des essais et de la supervision de la fabrication et de l'installation d'équipements, de composants ou de systèmes électriques. Votre expertise s'étendra à l'ingénierie électrique et à l'assistance technique sur site, notamment en ce qui concerne l'installation de systèmes, les composants électriques, les commandes et l'instrumentation. Ce poste requiert une personne dynamique capable de contribuer à la mise en œuvre réussie de projets électriques tout en garantissant des normes de haute qualité.
Rôles et Responsabilités
- Surveiller et guider les électriciens si nécessaire, y compris les sous-traitants. Surveiller le respect par les entrepreneurs du champ d'application et des critères de qualité définis dans le contrat, créer des non-conformités le cas échéant et veiller à l'application des plans d'action convenus. Créer des calendriers, déléguer le travail et former les nouveaux employés.
- Concevoir, mettre en œuvre, entretenir ou améliorer des instruments, des équipements, des installations, des composants, des produits ou des systèmes électriques à des fins commerciales ou industrielles.
- Diriger ou coordonner les activités de fabrication, de construction, d'installation, de maintenance, d'assistance, de documentation ou d'essai afin de garantir la conformité avec les spécifications, les codes ou les exigences des clients.
- Effectuer des calculs détaillés pour calculer et établir des normes ou des spécifications de fabrication, de construction ou d'installation.
- Inspecter les installations terminées et observer les opérations pour s'assurer qu'elles sont conformes aux spécifications de la conception et de l'équipement et qu'elles respectent les normes opérationnelles, de sécurité ou environnementales.
- Préparer des dessins techniques, des spécifications de systèmes électriques ou des cartes topographiques pour s'assurer que l'installation et les opérations sont conformes aux normes de BMS et aux exigences des clients.
- Planifier l'implantation de centrales électriques, de lignes ou de stations de distribution.
- Effectuer des enquêtes ou étudier des cartes, des graphiques, des diagrammes ou d'autres données afin d'identifier et de corriger les problèmes liés au système électrique.
- Concevoir des systèmes ou des composants électriques qui minimisent les besoins en énergie électrique.
- Veiller à la bonne maintenance des équipements, à la conformité aux codes électriques et au respect des règles de sécurité, des normes NEC et NFPA.
- Contribuer à l'amélioration des conceptions, des estimations électriques et des processus de fabrication.
- Tenir des registres des opérations électriques et des feuilles de temps.
- Veiller à ce que les stocks soient suffisants, planifier les budgets, établir des priorités d'achat, préparer des estimations de coûts et documenter leurs achats.
- Assister et assurer les connexions correctes dans les panneaux de contrôle, le contrôle des E/S et l'alimentation électrique.
- Étudier la documentation technique élaborée par l'équipe de projet (listes d'équipements, dessins électriques, spécifications électriques, etc.) et élaborer des protocoles et des formulaires de mise en service pour le démarrage, l'IQ et l'OQ des équipements et des installations de traitement.
- Effectuer la mise en service sur site, l'installation des instruments, l'installation électrique et la maintenance conformément aux normes électriques
Qualification Requises
- Diplôme universitaire canadien en génie électrique ou équivalent. Membre de l’OIQ ou le Professional Engineers Ontario.
- Un minimum de cinq ans d’expérience
- Une expérience en haute tension (plus de 480V 220 et 380V)
- Expérience en contrôle basse tension
- Familier avec les systèmes électriques, l'instrumentation, les outils, l'équipement, les codes et les procédures de sécurité
- Familier avec les logiciels informatiques, tels que Microsoft Office et AutoCAD
- Capacité à utiliser la logique et le raisonnement pour identifier les forces et les faiblesses des solutions alternatives, des conclusions ou des approches des problèmes
- Capacité à identifier des problèmes complexes et à examiner les informations connexes pour élaborer et évaluer des options et mettre en œuvre des solutions
- Connaissance de l'application pratique des sciences et technologies de l'ingénieur. Cela comprend l'application de principes, de techniques, de procédures et d'équipements à la conception et à la production de divers biens et services
