As Senior Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the financial operations of our organization. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will lead the accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll teams, ensuring efficient and accurate financial processes. Your responsibilities will encompass developing and maintaining financial controls, and you will play a key role in reviewing and ensuring accurate financial data.


Your main responsibilities will include but may not be limited to:

  • Leading the accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll teams, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient and accurate financial operations.
  • Developing and maintaining robust financial controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Additionally, spearheading the development and maintenance of new review processes and checks and balances to enhance the effectiveness of financial controls.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes, enhance reporting capabilities, and drive continuous improvement in financial operations.
  • Providing guidance on technical accounting matters, ensuring adherence to accounting policies and practices.
  • Managing and motivating a high-performing finance team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
  • Manage tax compliance and collaborate with external tax advisors to optimize the organization's tax position while ensuring adherence to tax regulations.
  • Actively participating in various ad-hoc projects; working with and organizing direct reports to accomplish strategic goals.
  • Optimizing operational and finance systems, and identifying opportunities to streamline processes. Implementing best practices and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function.
  • Overseeing cash flow management, ensuring optimal liquidity for daily operations.


You will have:

  • CPA Designation
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting and finance experience
  • Minimum of 2 years coaching/leading a growing team
  • Strong project management skills, capable of managing multiple projects concurrently
  • Proactive with strong attention to detail
  • Outstanding communication skills, adept at engaging with senior stakeholders
  • Ideally exposure to M&A activity and expansion into new markets
  • Ability to inspire and lead through periods of growth and change
  • Strong ERP system skills, preferably familiarity with implementations
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Excel
  • Experience with tax planning and compliance
  • Extensive background in process improvement, continuously driving efficiencies
  • Technical accounting knowledge (ASPE), including internal controls and risk assessment
  • Familiarity with Payroll, Invoicing, AR, and Cost/Expense management
