ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Ensure the NEW company focus is being fully communicated, coordinated and the partner of choice message is being utilized when trading with Hotels.
  • Running, monitoring and analyzing weekly and monthly reports with a clear focus on increasing profit and room night production.
  • Build a strong foundation and relationships with hotels via effective and frequent communication, face-to-face as well as telematics.
  • Ability to convince hotels of special contracting deals, promotions, and offers to gain a better position in the destination and obtain a higher market share.
  • Will be required to represent the company with a professional image at all times and to promote the company image and growth via meeting with Hoteliers, suppliers, networking and attending travel trade shows.
  • Contracting, negotiating and trading with Hotels in several destinations. Analyze and manage the best Contracting options for the company.
  • Follow up the risk contracts that the company can have in the destination, and take the right decisions to avoid any loss.


QUALIFICATIONS:


To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required;


  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong negotiator and relationship builder
  • Ability to work independently by making discretionary judgment
  • Strong pro-active decision-making ability
  • Computer Skills (Especially excel)
  • Experience working with upper level management
  • 2+ years prior experience in Contracting for a travel distributor or wholesaler
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Determination and a can win attitude is key
  • Proven track record of obtaining results in previous roles.
  • Excellent knowledge of the destination and the suppliers of the area that will be assigned, with (2) two years of experience in that destination.



EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma and GED is required. Associate or Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent from a four-year college is strongly preferred .
