We are looking for an HR Manager to join our HR Team for up to 18 months Our HR Manager will play a dual role as a Corporate HR lead as well as supporting operational needs at our Guelph plant (Ontario). They will work as liaisons for the various departments of the business, addressing employee issues, recruitment, projects, engagement, succession, performance, corporate initiatives, and coordinating day-to-day HR activities.

In this role, you will work alongside our VP of HR and HR Managers across Canada to provide HR guidance to all levels of staff You must be able to effectively handle difficult situations with employees using the utmost emotional intelligence and sound professional judgment. Also, you must exhibit positivity and demonstrate resourcefulness to identify and address HR issues proactively. You will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects; NEW HRIS implementation, Employee Engagement, Succession Planning, and Performance Management with a very supportive team and grow together with the Company

Experience

  • You have experience with managing and coaching on performance and succession
  • You have been involved in engagement initiatives and programs
  • You have a Degree or Diploma in Human Resources or related discipline
  • You have CPHR designation
  • You have experience working in a culturally diverse work environment
  • You have experience working in CPG industry
  • Strong experience of managing the transformation in a matrix environment

things you will do…

  • Ensure the business units follow all laws and established HR policies and procedures.
  • Administer and coordinate company policies and training programs
  • Lead salaried recruitment up to Director level for various business units
  • Support the manufacturing plants in BC + ON with recruitment and employees’ relations matters
  • Become the SME in Succession Planning, Performance, Employee Engagement and PayScale tools
  • Lead various programs and actively participate in a related HR project work such as recognition
  • Serve as an employee advocate and partner with the management team to unpack challenges and implement solutions; Employee Representative Committees
  • Develop and tracks measurable facets of the recruiting and hiring process so that processes are transparent and measured
  • Work directly with the Management on the Employee Engagement survey and action planning



OTHER …

  • You will be required to travel to the ON plant four times per year
