ASCO’s HR Generalist is responsible for the overall leadership of all human resources activities of the ASCO Group of companies, including but not limited to, creating a culture that aligns with our corporate values, managing employee relations and establishing compensation & benefits policies, training and development programs and recruitment and retention strategies that meet the long-term growth objectives of the Company.


Some of the HR Generalist responsibilities include:


  • Recruiting and staffing
  • Hiring and onboarding
  • Employee Engagement and Retention
  • Performance Management
  • Employee Relations
  • Recommending compensation and benefits policies.


Candidates should have:

  • At least five (5) years’ experience as a Human Resource Generalist or Human Resource Manager.
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree, or as a minimum a post-secondary degree with specialization in human resource management.
  • Preferably holding the CHRP designation.
  • Strong recruiting and demonstrated ability to improve talent acquisition strategies
  • Demonstrated experience in performance management, talent acquisition and retention, benefits administration, and employee-management relations.
  • Preferably having experience in the construction industry and knowledge of unionized environment.
  • Advance knowledge of labor laws and regulations
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking and communications skills
  • Have excellent communication skills in English and in French (oral and written)
  • Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines and be detailed oriented in a fast-paced environment
  • Superior working knowledge of MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
