About the Company

Reporting to the HR Manager (Ontario), the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the HR partnership and support to the Ontario facility business operations leaders in all realms of Human Resources to offer business solutions to employment challenges. This role will also be accountable for providing support for HRMS data entry, onboarding and integrating new employees, training and collaborating in local and global HR related projects.

Key Responsibilities:


Human Resources:


  • Responsible for employee relations issues, conducts internal investigations /inquiries and makes recommendation.
  • Responsible for providing HR expertise in the areas of feedback, employee relations, development and coaching, compensation, and organizational development supporting business leaders and acts as the main point of contact for operations leaders in the facility.
  • Responsible for disability management and manage case files with insurance carrier.
  • Acts as a resource for all employee questions including but not limited to group insurance plan and the registered pension plan.
  • Manages the AODA reporting requirement and other government related reporting requirements and local employee programs.
  • Participates in HR projects both locally and globally.
  • Responsible for employee related documentation as required.
  • Responsible for data entry and data management in the HRIS (Workday) for the local workforce.


Talent Acquisition:

  • Responsible to support the talent acquisition cycle for manufacturing positions (including students) with the Talent Acquisition partner
  • Conducts onboarding and integration of new employees for the Ontario marketplace.
  • Responsible for new employee onboarding/integration and ensures the follow-up of new employee documentation with the payroll department.
  • Responsible for collaborating with the Talent Acquisition partner for internal job postings
  • Drafts internal offers of employment due to workforce change


Qualifications

  • University degree (bachelor's degree) in human resources, administration or other related training or relevant and/or equivalent experience in a similar role.
  • Minimum of (7) years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in recruiting in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in managing employee relations under Ontario provincial legislation.
  • Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing.
  • Workday knowledge is considered a strong asset.
  • Excellent organizational skills and customer focused.
  • Proactive, demonstrate flexibility, judgment and decision
