Position Overview:

  • Job Title - Business Development Representative
  • Job Type - Full time
  • Location - North York
  • Salary - Competitive package
  • Working Hours - Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM


The Business Development Representative will be pivotal in advancing our market presence by identifying and qualifying new opportunities, developing and executing sales strategies for logistics solutions and services and lead key sales campaigns and initiatives.


Qualifications:

  • Diploma/Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Extensive knowledge of over-the-road, intermodal, ocean, and air shipments.
  • Proficiency in transportation terminology and equipment.
  • Exceptional entrepreneurial and negotiation skills for closing deals and cold-calling.
  • Superior customer relations, oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, records management, and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate outside sales leads and revenue by growing existing accounts and soliciting new ones.
  • Drive pipeline, sales, and revenue.
  • Develop effective sales strategies through market intelligence.
  • Innovate the sales process and improve sales operations.
  • Secure new customers and maintain existing accounts.
  • Promote services and products across all entities and coordinate sales efforts with other departments.
  • Conduct research on potential clients and educate them about our shipping solutions.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing concerns promptly.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Develop and negotiate proposals and rate agreements with customers.
  • Provide regular reports on sales efforts.
