Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Demand Planner to join our client's growing team in the food industry. This is a fast-paced environment where you will play a critical role in optimizing demand forecasting and planning to ensure smooth operations across the supply chain. The ideal candidate has strong experience in the food or CPG industry and thrives in a fast-moving, data-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and sales projections.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment on demand forecasts and inventory planning.
- Analyze demand data to identify patterns, trends, and risks that could impact supply chain operations.
- Manage inventory levels to meet customer demands while minimizing excess stock or shortages.
- Optimize the use of forecasting tools and software to drive efficiency in planning processes.
- Continuously monitor market dynamics and customer behavior to adjust forecasts accordingly.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to provide insights and recommendations for improving supply chain processes.
- Generate reports and present demand planning insights to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
- min. 3-5 years of experience in demand planning, preferably within the food or CPG industry.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and demand forecasting techniques.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Proficiency with forecasting and planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-growing, evolving company environment.
