Apex’s client is looking for a highly qualified SAP S/4HANA Solution Architect with strong SAP ECC experience to assist in the initial design sessions and later implementation of our upgrade to SAP S/4HANA.
The successful candidate will be responsible for working closely with our Business Planning team, SAP team, and Vendor System Implementor team supporting the delivery of our clients ERP and CIS+ project analysis and other initiatives. This includes gathering requirements, designing solutions, testing, deployment, and transitioning the solution into sustainment.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
The SAP Solution Architect will help with the project analysis, the implementation and support of the ERP and CIS replacement projects. This is a key leadership role requiring deep knowledge and understanding of SAP’s ECC & CRM suite of solutions providing both strategic and tactical guidance to the client.
To quickly establish credibility with senior stakeholders and project team members, comprehensive knowledge of SAP ECC & CRM solution suite comprising FI/CO, IS-Utilities, MM, PS, PM, SD, CRM will be essential. Strong facilitation and communication skills will also be important. Previous experience in SAP’s Utility Industry Solution will also be helpful.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS:
- Leverage extensive knowledge of industry and solution best practices and methodologies to make functional solution recommendations on complex SAP environments.
- Facilitate collaborative discussions and workshops to ensure alignment and desired business outcomes are achieved.
- Investigate and evaluate SAP solution landscape, organize, and assess necessary task required to successfully address solution gaps and resolve pain-points.
- Analyze and map client business requirements, processes, and objectives; formulate functional modifications, upgrade, or migration recommendations to satisfy clients’ needs.
- Lead end-to-end solution blueprint discussions accounting for integration points between the SAP modules as well as non-SAP legacy applications.
- Leverage, improve and challenge SAP solution proposals to make it follow the industry best practice and ensure it meets client’s functional requirements.
- Assist the delivery team in project definition and planning for solution implementation, upgrade, extension, or migration type of projects in traditional or agile environments.
- Take ownership (evaluate impact, design, validate and plan) for any proposed changes to approved solution architecture and deployment strategy. Align it to maximize the business value of the solution.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- 5+ years of S/4 experience in Brownfield and Greenfield implementations in an S/4 environment.
- 10+ years SAP consulting experience, complemented with 5+ ECC end-to-end project implementations.
- Overall expertise in SAP’s ECC & CRM solution suite.
- Expertise in cross functional integration points within the ECC suite of products
- Experience working in customized/non-customized environment with several ECC landscapes
- Strong leadership skills to be able to lead customer engagements at an executive level.
- Previous solutions architect and team lead experience on major projects.
- Ability to analyze problems and provide clear recommendations.
