Greater Vancouver, Canada New Value Solutions Full time

New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company is seeking a Site Lead to help our client with the implementation of a new Clinical Information System (CIS) as part of the ‘Advance Program.’ This role involves leading the design, implementation, and management of technical upgrades at various sites, ensuring all necessary changes are made to support improved workflows for clinical staff.


Responsibilities:


  • Lead the design, implementation, and management of electrical, network, and other technical uplift requirements, while providing supervision, guidance, and leadership to assigned staff and non-staff resources (e.g., project resources).
  • Understand and ensure alignment with processes and tools such as change and configuration management, and service management.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to support the technical readiness domain, including desktop engineering-related tasks, and go-live and cutover activities.
  • Ensure that internal and external stakeholders are aware of and can comply with the requirements for the successful transition of new and amended devices, peripherals, and support services.
  • Provide support to Senior Leadership by offering detailed opportunity analyses and recommendations, participating in issues management discussions, and representing the technical readiness domain in functional working groups and committees.
  • Identify, coordinate, and execute changes required to enable the deployment of devices, while defining, recommending, documenting, and managing related projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define device and peripheral requirements essential for the Meditech Expanse project, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Create a comprehensive device strategy and plan that includes procurement, installation, configuration, deployment, and testing, ensuring seamless integration into the Meditech Expanse environment.
  • Perform detailed gap analysis to identify potential discrepancies between current and required states, and develop strategies to mitigate associated risks.
  • Oversee the procurement and acquisition process, ensuring that all necessary devices and peripherals are acquired on time and within budget to support the project’s technical needs.
  • Assess and execute technical readiness tasks, including power, data, Wi-Fi, and wall mount installations, to guarantee that all systems are fully prepared for the Meditech Expanse go-live.
  • Experience with go-live conversion, cut-over, and computing devices is preferred.


Requirements:


  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in healthcare-related discipline.
  • 2+ years recent experience in healthcare with a focus on IT systems and operational support.
  • Strong knowledge of general workflows in a hospital environment is an asset.
  • Demonstrated internal/external stakeholder provider and clinician engagement experience.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Must be able to perform multiple tasks and effectively prioritize work.
  • Possess strong problem solving, analytical, organization, and interpersonal skills and an ability to make effective decisions under pressure.
  • Experience using tools like JIRA, Smartsheet and Office365.


MUST HAVE


  • Access to a vehicle for regular onsite visits.
  • Access to Microsoft Visio and experience in developing floor plans.
  • Experience in Windows image management, including mass application deployment.
  • Experience in developing device and peripheral strategies and deployment plans.
  • Experience in leading and/or managing device deployment projects.
  • Knowledge and understanding of electrical and network requirements in the clinical setting (e.g. desktops, laptops, workstation on wheels).
  • Knowledge and understanding of mobility environments and devices used within them (e.g. smartphones, cell phones, pagers, etc.).
  • Knowledge and understanding of output management environments and devices used within them (e.g. multi-function printers, label printers, fax machines), particularly in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the infrastructure required to support devices such as electrical outlets, network ports, and Wi-Fi.
  • Experience with 3rd-party device and service procurement models.
  • Understanding of reporting and metrics in a healthcare setting.
  • Competent to work all phases of application systems analysis.
  • System implementation experience required; CIS implementation and MEDITECH go-live experience preferred.
  • Go-live conversion and cut-over experience preferred.
  • Experience coordinating trades for cabling and installations work.
  • Excellent interpersonal, client service, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication (verbal, written, and presentation) skills with ability to convey data and technology solutions to all stakeholders.
