Blackbird Security is looking to hire **Elite Security Site Leads **for high-end luxury retail sites in **Downtown Vancouver, BC.**

**Role Summary**

Your primary responsibility will be to fully support the Regional and District Managers in their role as it pertains to the quality of our operational services associated with our site. The security supervisor will be responsible to follow up and know all the Standard Operating Procedures for all the different roles on site.

A part of the focus of your function will be to ensure that our staff on site are well trained, well dressed, knowledgeable, have the right attitude towards their role, and fully comprehend what their role is meant to accomplish. In addition to following up and knowing the routines with all the posts onsite, the security supervisor will also perform the duties listed below.

**What you will do**
- Supervise and train security officers.
- Regularly patrol and spot-check premises.
- Assist management with emergency situations, including liaising with Emergency Services as needed, including investigations.
- Spot check guards to ensure post orders are being followed and they are adhering to company/client policies.
- Consistently check on the quality service levels being provided by our employees, ensuring that they are very aware of the job functions and performing them properly.
- Ensure site tours are being completed both inside and outside the site as scheduled.
- Understand the site workings and be able to fully utilize the scheduling system, providing you with the ability to see who is working at which location, at any time during your shift.
- Cover floor time on a regular basis.
- Understand and have knowledge of the company policies pertaining to the well-being of staff, and the provision of operational services.
- Work with security guards to ensure that staff site reports are done accurately and professionally, helping site staff to develop their skills and gain more experience.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with the site guards.
- Complete incident reports and required documentation for all security incidents.
- Identify potential security risks and respond accordingly.
- Diffuse potentially volatile situations and intervene when necessary.
- Providing great customer service to the clients.
- Ability to work without close supervision, while maintaining daily and weekly communication with Site Management departments as required.
- A Valid Security License is required
- AST is an asset
- Previous experience in security is required
- Prior experience in a luxury retail site or hotel setting is highly preferred
- Prior supervisory experience is required
- Ability to regularly and reliably attend sites for scheduled shifts, via transit is required
- Excellent communication skills in the English language (spoken, written, and via electronics) is required
- Superior observational skills
- Willingness to attend meeting and trainings to improve skills
- Knowledgeable on safety processes and procedures.
- Willingness to provide own black suit and tie
