Job Description


HealthPRO Canada is seeking an energetic, enthusiastic, results- driven, individual to join our Capital Equipment team. The Lead position has the business development responsibility of developing new customized and scalable contracts (including all source to contract procurement activities), securing member commitment in advance.


Responsibilities

  • Working directly in partnership with external stakeholders and end users, generate net new growth for HealthPRO Canada by developing 4-6 new Capital Equipment contracts annually; contracts must be customizable, yet scalable.
  • Manage and advance multiple high priority solutions based competitive processes.
  • Starting with an AI tool, validate the information and develop expertise across a broad range of specialized procurement areas including, product knowledge, clinical practices, new technologies, supply chain issues and market trends.
  • Work with internal project manager and cross functional teams to quantify and deliver specific growth targets.
  • Work with external stakeholders to ensure strategy performance and contract management targets are met.
  • Execute and manage the contracting process from contract strategy to contract implementation.
  • Foster, facilitate and manage trusting relationships with suppliers and HealthPRO Canada members.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop metrics that measure and report on the outcomes of each contract.


Requirements

  • Greater than 5 years’ experience in Canadian Public Procurement, healthcare preferred.
  • 2-3 Years experience managing a team.
  • Certified Supply Chain Leader (CSCL) designation, (or in progress) required.
  • To succeed in this business development role, the candidate must exhibit exceptional tenacity, persistence, and resilience.
  • The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven ability to effectively engage and command the attention of stakeholders across all levels, from executive leadership to end users.
  • The ideal candidate will be a consensus builder amongst disparate stakeholder groups, prioritizing solutions that deliver planned growth on time.
  • The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of solutions based competitive processes including supplier negotiations, market sounding, and competitive dialogue.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic sourcing, from planning to award, including the creation and management of RFX documents and processes. Proven ability to think critically/analytically to understand complex situations and problem-solve issues.
  • The candidate must have a highly sophisticated business acumen, with the proven ability to pivot and problem solve.
  • The candidate must be able to distill stakeholder pain points to identify partnerships that help achieve / exceed growth targets.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, priorities and timelines with high attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate a high level of professionalism managing internal and external customers. Highly proficient in use of MS Excel, and other MS programs
  • Excellent English language skills (reading, written, verbal and comprehension)
