Aperçu du projet:

Bechtel cherche à recruter des professionnels de haut niveau pour la réalisation de projets dans les domaines de l'ingénierie, de la construction, du contrôle de projet et des disciplines connexes, afin de rejoindre son équipe au Canada.  

Bechtel agrandit actuellement son équipe qui travaille sur une variété de nouveaux projets de transport et d'infrastructure dans les provinces du Québec et de l'Ontario, au Canada. Des candidats sont actuellement recherchés à Montréal (Québec) et à Toronto (Ontario).  

 

Résumé du poste:

Dans ce rôle, vous travaillerez avec l'équipe de projet pour préparer les données de planification. Vous appliquerez les données établies sur les heures de travail unitaires et les prix, effectuerez des intégrations d'horaires, préparerez la logique de travail, identifierez les contraintes et les impacts potentiels, élaborerez des plans de récupération et évaluerez les calendriers des sous-traitants pour les améliorations. Vous contribuerez à faire en sorte que les projets restent sur la bonne voie et à temps.

Cette offre d'emploi peut être conditionnelle, en fonction de l'attribution de nouveaux projets et d'un champ d'application plus large. L'entretien se déroulera en anglais depuis le siège de l'entreprise aux États-Unis. 

 

 

Principales responsabilités:

  • Établit et tient à jour l'horaire d'un domaine de discipline ou d'une spécialité particulière
  • Effectue des tâches d'élaboration d'horaires pour inclure l'établissement de la structure de répartition du travail (SRT), la détermination de la durée de l'activité de travail, l'établissement des liens logiques de flux de travail appropriés et l'élaboration des dépenses de travail requises
  • Effectue la surveillance du calendrier, y compris l'identification des activités critiques et la mise à jour des fonctions pour des applications, des disciplines ou des spécialités spécifiques
  • Élaborer des rapports sur le calendrier des chemins critiques et planifier des mesures de rendement
  • Détermine les activités sur le chemin critique pour les activités de discipline ou de travail spécialisé assignées à l'appui des exigences interdisciplinaires
  • Identifie et signale les activités qui ont une incidence critique ou potentielle sur le calendrier
  • Surveiller et valider les horaires des sous-traitants
  • Évaluer les calendriers des sous-traitants pour les solutions de contournement requises ou les améliorations potentielles des horaires

 

Formation et expérience requises:

  • Exige un baccalauréat (ou l'équivalent international) et 8 à 10 ans d'expérience pertinente ou 12 à 14 ans d'expérience de travail pertinente

 

Connaissances, compétences et aptitudes requises : ( Knowledge and skills)

  • Expérience dans la réalisation de projets ferroviaires urbains à grande échelle. Les expériences comprennent généralement la planification de la construction dans les régions rurales et urbaines, le long des lignes de marchandises actives, la construction de ponts sur les voies navigables, l'amélioration des voies et la construction ou la remise en état de ponts, les arrêts de gare, les cours d'entreposage et les ateliers d'entretien.
  • Capacité à travailler efficacement dans un environnement d'équipe, en motivant et en soutenant les autres.
  • Compréhension démontrée des processus et des procédures de base des contrôles de projet, y compris le contrôle des coûts, la planification, l'analyse des risques, l'estimation, la production de rapports sur les tendances et la gestion de l'information.
  • Compréhension technique et pratique de l'approvisionnement en ingénierie, des fonctions de construction et des techniques commerciales générales.
  • Excellente habileté en communication orale et écrite avec une habileté démontrée à présenter l'information estimation à la direction et au client.

Project Overview:

Bechtel is seeking to recruit high quality project delivery professionals in Engineering, Construction, Project Controls and related disciplines to join our team in Canada. 

Bechtel is currently growing our team working on a variety of new transportation and infrastructure projects in the Provinces of Quebec and Ontario, Canada. Candidates are currently being sought in both Montreal, Quebec and Toronto, Ontario. 

 

Job Summary:

In this role, you will work with the project team to prepare schedule data. You will apply established unit job hour and pricing data, perform schedule integrations, prepare work logic, identify restraints and potential impacts, develop recovery plans, and evaluate subcontractor schedules for improvements. You will be instrumental in ensuring projects stay on track and on time.

This job opportunity may be conditional, based upon the award of new projects and additional scope. Interview will occur from the corporate office in the United States in English. #LI-NP1

 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Establishes and maintains the schedule for a specific discipline area or specialty·      
  • Performs schedule development duties to include establishing the work breakdown structure (WBS), determining the work activity duration, establishing the proper workflow logic ties, and developing the required job expenditure·      
  • Performs schedule monitoring, including identifying critical activities and updating functions for specific applications, disciplines, or specialties·      
  • Develops critical path schedule reports and schedule performance metrics
  • Determines critical-path activities for assigned discipline or specialty work activities supporting interdisciplinary requirements
  • Identifies and reports activities that have a critical or potential impact on the schedule·      
  • Monitors and validates subcontractor schedules·      
  • Evaluates subcontractor schedules for required workarounds or potential schedule improvements

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience

 

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience in delivering large-scale urban railway projects. Experiences typically include planning for construction through rural and urban locations, along active freight lines, bridge construction over navigable waterways, upgrading track and building or rehabilitating bridges, station stops, storage yards, and maintenance shops.       
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, motivating and supporting others.·      
  • Demonstrated understanding of project controls core processes and procedures including, cost control, planning, risk analysis, estimating, trend reporting and information management.·      
  • Technical and practical comprehension of engineering procurement, and construction functions and general business techniques.     
  • Excellent skill in oral and written communication with demonstrated skill to present estimating information to management and client.
